For vocal octet, combines text by Stephanie Green and a traditional St Kildan melody, the 'Soay', telling the story of the community who lived on the Scottish isle.

Setting of text by Ian Deary, for vocal octet, piano, and string quintet. Classical and religious themes are blended into an evocative landscape.

Siegfreid Sassoon
Born on the 8th September 1886, Siegfried Sassoon was an English war poet, writer, and soldier. His poetry both describes the horrors of the trenches and satirized the patriotic pretensions of those who, in Sassoon's view, were responsible for the war.
